SMIIC Secretary General H.E. İhsan ÖVÜT paid a courtesy visit to Uganda National Bureau of Standards (UNBS) headquarters and met H.E. Mr. David Livingstone Ebiru, Executive Director of UNBS on 24 August 2022, in Kampala, Uganda.

The UNBS team headed by Mr. Ebiru introduced UNBS activities of all departments in detail. A laboratory tour was also provided to SMIIC delegation to further introduce the technical capabilities of UNBS with regards to testing facilities.

Furthermore, Mr. İhsan Övüt shared the latest developments of SMIIC in detail by underscoring the importance of adoption and implementation of common standards that are published by SMIIC.

Both parties had the opportunity to exchange views on the current projects of SMIIC as well as discussed future cooperation especially from the capacity building point ov view.
