A training was given by SMIIC and Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC) on "Halal Tourism and Halal Friendly Hospitality Services" to the representatives of Private and Public institutions of Uzbekistan which was organised by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and SESRIC on 13-15 November 2018 in Tashkent,Republic of Uzbekistan.                                               

 The training included the the fundamentals of the Halal Tourism such as Standards, and possible strategies for the  development of Halal Tourism in Uzbekistan.

As a side event, SMİİC delegation delivered a presentation on SMIIC and its role in Halal Tourism, during the Seminar organised by İnternational Silk Road Tourism University in Samarkand on 16 November 2018.
