SMIIC Secretary General, Mr. İhsan Övüt participated in the 23^rd ARSO GENERAL ASSEMBLY (GA) and Celebration of the 5^th African Day of Standardisation held on the 28-30 June 2017, in Ouagadogou, Burkina Faso. Mr. İhsan Övüt, gave a speech during the GA introducing SMIIC and its functionality areas, the points he mentioned were added to the 23^rd ARSO GA resolutions. This meeting gave the opportunity to meet the wonderful ARSO General Secretariat team and esteemed representatives of ARSO Members, gain a better insight of the ARSO activities and discuss possible cooperation areas with SMIIC.
