Guidelines for Bodies Providing Halal Certification

This guidelines specify the rules that the halal certification bodies shall satisfy and the requirements for the execution of halal certification activities. This standard was developed by the Standardization Expert Group (SEG) of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) in 2008, and adopted by the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) Technical Committee on Halal Food Issues as OIC/SMIIC standard in 2011.
